Mastering the art of threading a Juki sewing machine can open the doorway to a world of creative possibilities. It doesn’t matter whether you’re new to sewing or a seasoned pro; the key to successful sewing is understanding the basic structure of a sewing machine. In this article, we’ll discuss all the steps you should take to thread your Juki sewing machine, as well as some helpful troubleshooting tips.

Before you begin, it’s important to ensure that the machine is turned off and the light switch is in the off position. Before you thread your machine, you should also wind a bobbin. A bobbin is a small spindle filled with thread which acts as the main source of thread for the stitching process. To wind a bobbin, you should insert the pre-wound thread onto the spindle located near the bobbin seat and pull it through the small hook, then turn the wheel located at the top of your machine to wind the thread.

Once the thread has been wound onto the bobbin, remove the bobbin from the spindle and place it into the bobbin case beneath the machine. Make sure that the bobbin is lined up with the magnetic hook and the notches are in the right position. Now, you’re ready to thread the machine.

Starting at the hand wheel on the right-hand side of the machine, thread the machine’s thread guides in the correct order. Holding the spool of thread between your fingers, thread the thread along the slit at the top of the thread guide. Next, pass the thread through the thread guide in the top of the machine and then through the thread guide located near the bobbin case. Finally, thread the thread back through the slit at the bottom of the thread guide. Make sure to hold the tension as you’re threading the machine, as loose thread can lead to skipped stitches.
