The answer is yes, you can bring a sewing needle on a plane, but there are some restrictions. Needles must be stored in your Carry-on baggage or in your checked baggage. All needles, including syringes and other sharps, must be placed in a puncture-resistant container for transport.<\/p>\n

We’ve never had any problems bringing an embroidery hoop in the cabin of the plane. It’s always been a smooth process and we’ve never had any issues with it.<\/p>\n

Please be aware that unused syringes are allowed when accompanied by injectable medication. You must, however, declare these items to security officers at the checkpoint for inspection. We recommend that your medications be labeled to facilitate the security process, but this is not required. Thank you for your cooperation.<\/p>\n
