The Sewing Needle is a quest item that can be given to Boc early on in his side quest, after you’ve discovered him turned into a bush south of the Gatefront Ruins. He’ll ask you to travel to the Coastal Cave to get his Sewing Needle back from Demi-Human Chieftans.<\/p>\n

Giving Boc the Sewing Needle will continue his quest, and he’ll move to the Liurnia of the Lakes. The Sewing Needle will be removed from your inventory, but this isn’t an issue as it never did anything anyways. Optional boss fight, meaning you can return at any time to defeat them.<\/p>\n

If you attack the tree, Boc will return to his original form and you will need to give him the Sewing Needle and Tailoring Tools. He will be at the Coastal Cave. After giving him his supplies, he will move to Liurnia of the Lakes where the Lake-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace is.<\/p>\n

You will need to meet two conditions in order to give him the Golden Sewing Needle. Firstly, you must purchase at least one legendary boss armor piece from Finger Reader Enia in the Roundtable Hold. Secondly, you must have spoken to Melina about Boc at the East Raya Lucaria Gate Site of Grace.<\/p>\n

What happens if I give boc a larval tear? <\/h2>\n

If you choose to give Boc a Larval Tear, he will be grateful and say that he can now be reborn through Rennala. You must then exhaust his dialogue and leave the area. When you come back, you will find that he has moved. Note that if you go this route, you will not be able to save him and he will die.<\/p>\n
